2010 Met Costume Institue Gala.

Celebrating the opening of the “American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity” exhibition – celebrities and their accompanying designers attended The Costume Institute Gala Benefit and each defined the American Woman (if she could afford those expensive, custom-made gowns…)

Here are my favorite gowns (and jumpsuit) that were worn on the Red Carpet:

Zoe Saldana – in a one-shoulder sparkling Calvin Klein dress (favorite dress of the night)

Camilla Belle – in a gorgeous one-strapped Jason Wu dress (favorite designer)

Emma Watson – in a custom-made white one-shoulder Burberry dress (favorite fashionista)

The iconic SJP – in a Halston and Fred Leighton gown, in which she is the Chief Creative Officer of Halston Heritage

Sienna Miller – in a beautiful Emilio Pucci dress – complete with arm candy Jude Law.

Anne Hathaway – in true princess style wearing a Valentino gown

Chanel Iman – in a Michael Kors metallic jumpsuit that is absolutely stunning

Emma Roberts – in head-to-toe Marni.

All of the gowns were absolutely stunning – with my favorite being Zoe’s dress. It looks like the the theme of the night was one-shoulder gowns and dresses.
