Every now and then, I like to indulge in the avant garde and couture that is Vogue.
I came across these fashion photo spreads for Vogue from December 2003 by Annie Leibovitz, (thanks to A Cup of Jo) and I have to say they are my favorites! (Leibovitz also photographed stars for the Disney celeb portraits.)
Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, Russian Model Natalia Vodianova, aka Alice, dons designs that are representative of the imagination and follows the storyline of Alice Liddell’s adventures in Wonderland. The designers also pose as the unique characters that Alice meets along her way.

I really love these photos! They cleverly capture the fanciful world of Wonderland, and allow you to escape down the rabbit hole. In the slideshow, there are a unique captions with quotes from the story itself as it discusses the photos. This makes me want to read Alice in Wonderland all over again!
Even fashion can become imaginative . . .
