New Moon Premiere . . .
November 17, 2009
I know this totally qualifies me as a Twilight nerd – but it happened. I watched the live-streaming of the New Moon premiere in LA – and honestly – it was worth it. I got a great look at the stars from the movie – caught their interviews (including Stephanie Meyer) and of course – their dresses. My favorite? Nikki Reed’s dress. I only wish I was there to catch it all . . .
Here are my favorite dresses from the premiere:
As for Team Jacob – Taylor Lautner looked beyond handsome at the premiere. This is probably the cutest picture of both Taylor and Kristen: (so presh)

And just a reminder: New Moon is out November 20th – the midnight showing has been SOLD OUT for a while now – which is just insane – but it just goes to show how big this movie is going to be.

92Y’s Future of Women’s Fashion . . .
November 17, 2009
I recently stumbled upon this clip of the “Future of Women’s Fashion” event that I, along with other fashionistas, attended.
Once again, Ashley Olsen is fabulous with her red suede heels. Who cares if they’re probably uncomfortable – the shoes are deliciously gorge.

Fierce on the Sartorialist . . .
November 16, 2009
Looking fierce as the Sartorialist captures this woman’s moment on Seventh Avenue, NYC.
Now this is how you grab the Sartorialist’s eye: by looking sexy by confidence and downright fierce.
Intimidation. Check. Personal style. Double Check. Fearlessness. Check, Check, Check.
Admiration for the peep toes, gold belt and the blue blazer. As my girl KMD would say: so fire.

Vanessa Hudgens is back! . . .
November 16, 2009
After scouring gossip sites over the past weeks – I found no updates about my ultimate favorite fashionista – Vanessa Hudgens. She has been under the radar.
That is until today. She has arrived back to LA – as she has been in Vancouver, Canada filming her upcoming movie, Sucker Punch.
Even as she comes home after a plane flight – Vhudg still manages to look amazingly glowy. Sure, she isn’t clad in fashion’s finest – but rather in sweatpants and yet, she still looks ready for a photo shoot.
Just another reminder that au natural is simply the best way to go. Can’t wait to see what amazing outfits she’ll don in LA. . .

Leona Lewis: “Happy”
November 16, 2009
I had previously blogged about Leona Lewis’ latest single, “Happy” and how much I adored the song. As for the music video – I love it even more, in fact, this video made me fall in love with the song in the first place.
I’m finally able to post Leona Lewis’ music video for “Happy” and I find myself watching it over and over again . . .
It’s probably the most beautiful and yet, heartbreaking music video I have seen to date.
And – just because I love the lyrics so much – I’m posting them again:
. . . don’t you take chances
you might feel the pain -
don’t you love in vain
cause love wont set you free.
I could stand by the side and watch this life pass me by so unhappy but safe as could be . .
So what if it hurts me
So what if i break down
So what if this world just throws me off the edge
my feet run out of ground,
I gotta find my place
I wanna hear my sound
Don’t care about other pain in front of me -
cause I’m just tryna be happy . . .
Mary-Kate’s Chunky Boots Wannabe . . .
November 14, 2009
In the words of Rachel Zoe: I am literally dying over these Sam Edelman ‘Zoe’ Ankle Boots.
Literally.
They are mix of leather and faux suede – with a chunky, bold heel. So daring with the concealed heel – I can’t help but die over them. They remind me of Mary-Kate’s famous Balenciaga – platform ankle boots that she is seen donning almost every-day. GASP – she . . . repeats!
SIDENOTE: There is no fashion crime against repeating either an outfit or an article of clothing. If you’re really against repeating a oufit – switch it up with a new accessory. Always works. AND ALSO – we’re in a recession, so we’re bound to repeat.

Very. Gorge.

Twilight Cast . . .
November 13, 2009
Twilight-themed posts are probably becoming overwhelming by now. BUT – I can’t help myself, so here goes…
My favorite picture of the Twilight cast – from Vanity Fair:
[photo credit: Peggy Sirota: November 5, 2008]
New Moon comes out in theaters on November 20th and the frenzy for Twilight is at an all-time-high. With Dakota Fanning on Teen Vogue, Kristen Stewart on the cover of Seventeen, Robert Pattinson on Vanity Fair and both Kristen, Rob and Taylor Lautner on the cover of Entertainment Weekly - everywhere you turn- Twilight is staring right back at you.
In December’s issue of Vanity Fair – Pattinson looks divine, stunning and just gorgeous in the photographs by Bruce Weber. There are a bunch of outtakes from the photo shoot – all of which are amazing. I picked out my favorites and believe me, it was hard to choose.
Here they are:
And the new Leo, it turns out, is also a nerd. He is never without a book in his hand, say his colleagues, or a piece of music on his mind, or a movie he wants to share. He’s so obsessed about delivering a performance he feels happy with that he is constantly watching the dailies, says Remember Me director Allen Coulter. “He’s religious about it.” – VF
—
And now Pattinson is hawking his co-star like a desperate agent. “I don’t know where he got it,” he gushes of Lautner’s charm and knack for connecting with the fans. “He’s much better at doing it [than I am].… He’s completely handling it. I’m just freaking out all the time. I’m going to end up hitting people and stuff and looking like an idiot.” Someone else can be Leo. Pattinson will be Hugh Grant. – VF

SIDENOTE: The whole nerdy-book bit – just made me love RobPatt even more…
Judging by the number of times I blog about Twilight, you can guess how excited I am for Nov. 20th. Just be ready for more . . .
loves,

Fran Drescher’s “The Nanny:” TV Land’s Favorite Nanny . . .
November 11, 2009
Judging by my tweets, one can assume that I am obsessed with Fran Drescher’s “The Nanny.” Well – no need to assume – I am obsessed.

Fran Drescher as The Nanny
Having first aired in 1993 – the show ran for 6 seasons - ending in 1999 with 145 episodes. Nominated for 2 Golden Globes and countless awards, the show was a hit. I remember watching a bit of the show when I was younger – and the thing I remembered the most was Fran’s high-nasal voice. Yet no matter how annoying it sounds, it is iconic. You hear that voice, and you know its Fran.
Ten years after its last air date, I was re-acquainted with TV Land’s Favorite Nanny on Nick @ Nite over this past summer. Two episodes in – and I was hooked. So much so that I ran out to the store and invested in Season 1 and 2.
What I love about the show is how it continues to stay relevant. The jokes, innuendos, themes and messages are still hilarious and important to today. I also love the fashions of Fran Fine. Her style from 1993 -1999 is what we see in the fashion magazines that are currently on newsstands. Sequins, tights, menswear, blazers, over-the-knee boots, neon, studs, leather, fur and BIG HAIR = are all trends then and now.

I just recently watched the series finale, and it was bittersweet. The flashbacks, new beginnings and endings – were too much for me to handle. Even though it ended ten years ago, I didn’t want it to end now (if that makes any sense.) So imagine my excitement when I found out that there was A REUNION for “The Nanny” cast in 2004! (sidenote: Episodes continue to air on Nick @ Nite every night)

The Nanny Reunion - A Nosh to Remember
Here is part 1 – a perfect overview of the show:
Fran Drescher is still making waves – with her non-profit organization, Cancer Schmancer Movement, her official title as a U.S. Diplomat, Public Diplomacy Envoy for Women’s Health Issues, and now her ventures with a new beauty line: FranBrand for HSN. She is a powerful woman, who despite facing traumatic events, has kept her head high and continues to influence.
Honestly, watch The Nanny – there is so much learn, laugh and love.

Emma Watson for Elle Girl . . .
November 11, 2009
My favorite fashionista: Emma Watson.
Here is a photo from her outtakes of her photo shoot for the Russian Elle Girl thanks to Sassy! (I wish Elle Girl was still being published in the US)

AND the shoes make the dress – a beautiful white constructed tutu dress, complete with gray glam Grecian-inspired heels.
