The Golden Globes….

The Golden Globes and the Oscars are like the World Series and the Superbowl to me. I love this time of year!
So imagine my disappointment when I couldn’t watch the Golden Globes last night due to other engagements. So in order to avoid missing any of the key moments of the show, I taped it.
Well, at least I thought I did.
I came home at 1130 to discover that my tape did NOT RECORD ANYTHING. Despite the fact that I timed it and recorded it before I left. But thanks to NBC.com, I caught up with all the major wins and key moments of the awards.
I was so upset that Leo didn’t win any awards 
but there’s always the Oscars! But the best part of the night was my girl Kate Winslet winning TWO GOLDEN GLOBES for Best actress/Best Supporting Actress!!!
I really do love her and I’m so happy that she won. She really deserved it 
Her second acceptance speech was so touching, I had tears in my eyes! Go HERE to watch it in case you missed it last night.

These two are by far my favorite on-screen couple. When they are in a movie together, it screams: MAGIC. LOL that’s so lame, but how else can you explain the chemistry between these two outstanding actors??

Another emotional part of the night was Heath Ledger winning Best Supporting Actor in his role for the Dark Knight. That was bittersweet. I haven’t been able to watch any of my favorite Heath movies (10 Things I Hate About You, A Knight’s Tale) ever since his death. It really is gut wrenching. But I did see The Dark Knight and he really did an amazing job for portraying the Joker.
I didn’t really get to see any of the fashions the actresses were donning, but I did see Kate’s black dress, which she looked gorGEous in, and of course I saw Vanessa, my favorite fashionista. I watched her red carpet interview with her boy Zac and even though I love her…that interview was beyond awkward. I couldn’t even bear to watch the rest of it. LOL it was kind of funny despite the awkwardness and their lame responses….
But she did look gorGEous and I love her dress. Go here for details…
