Thank you for CHEWING loudly…not.
September 26, 2008
Dear Bloggers,
I am blogging live. A certain event is taking place…well right next to me, and it is the utmost annoying thing I have ever had to withstand.
To give you the colorful setting… I am at work. Sitting in front of a computer with my co-worker sitting next to me on her laptop. Well I do not have the luxury of having my laptop with me, so the department’s DELL will suffice.
ANYWAYS. My co-worker and I are friendly with each other, or at least I thought. For the past 3 HOURS, I have had to hear her eat, drink and chew her gum OBNOXIOUSLY loud. All while have her mouth open.
If you do not know me by now, you should know that myALL -TIME PET PEEVE IS PEOPLE CHEWING/GNAWING ON FOOD/GUM! AKA: any noises coming from your mouth when you are eating. Oh and did I mention popping your gum obnoxiously? Like did you mom never teach you to CHEW WITH YOUR MOUTH CLOSE??
I am at my wits end here. I thought I could handle it, and make a couple escapes to the “bathroom.” But no, every time I think she is done “eating or chewing,” she pops in another piece of gum or gnaws on some candy.
So when you are in this position, what can you say? “I’m sorry can you please stop gnawing on your food/gum?” or “Can you please stop popping your gum every 10 seconds?”
In these social situations, what is okay to say? What would be deemed as “unbitchy?” I’m sure NOTHING.
Once again I face a situation in which I cannot say anything “bitchy” because I’m a nice person. wtf.
So instead of saying anything, I have given death stares and long aspirated sighs. Apparently, she didn’t get the message. So here I am, blogging my feelings of pure agitation, leaving you to read my wrath.
Now, most of you would say, “just block it out.” WELL I CAN’T. Once I’ve her the popping or the chewing, its all over. My mind will find a way to fixate on it, and my eyes will listen out for it.
I’m so desperate that I might whip out my ipod, which would probably be seen as unprofessional, but isn’t eating/chewing with you mouth open IMPOLITE?!?!
Can I ever win?
So I am asking you, from the bottom of my annoyed heart, to help me block out this piercing noise or come up with something to say that is nice.
pop….pop….pop…pop…pop…pop….chew….chew…chew..chew….pop..poppopopop….chug….chew… this is my soundtrack of work.
The “Arm-Length Test” still applies…
September 19, 2008
So remember that dress code rule from when we were younger?? The rule that said:
When you place your arms at your sides, you’re shorts/skirt must be 2 inches longer than you’re fingertips. If not, DETENTION.
AKA “the Arm-Length Test.”
Well Taylor Momsen, I feel that the rule still applies today…even with dresses.
So my advice, let’s keep the peep show on the D/L and the dresses a tab bit longer.
Reunited and it feels so good!!

My favorite movie duo is back. Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet star in the new movie, Revolutionary Road Road . The movie comes out January 15, 2009.
Here is a quick synopsis of the movie, and beware…there are some spoilers:
April and Frank Wheeler are a young, thriving couple living with their two children in a Connecticut suburb in the mid-1950s. Their self-assured exterior masks a creeping frustration at their inability to feel fulfilled in their relationships or careers. Frank is mired in a well-paying but boring office job, and April is a housewife still mourning the demise of her hoped-for acting career. Determined to identify themselves as superior to the mediocre sprawl of suburbanites who surround them, they decide to move to France where they will be better able to develop their true artistic sensibilities, free of the consumerist demands of capitalist America. As their relationship deteriorates into an endless cycle of squabbling, jealousy and recriminations, their trip and their dreams of self-fulfillment are thrown into jeopardy.
The trailer debuts tomorrow. Which ironically coincides with Keira Knightley’s new movie The Duchess.
I am so excited. It’s going to be an excited year for the box office

L.A. Candy…?
September 13, 2008
OH YEA.
Remember how I talked about LC writing a book. Well I found out some more information.
It’s going to be called: L.A. Candy and it’s going to hit bookstores in Summer 2009.
Prepare yourselves.
Get this: The book is going to be about a young girl who moves to L.A and “unexpectantly” becomes the star a reality television show.
And the real kicker is that LC says that the books will be “loosely inspired by my own experience.” Um, loosely inspired?
SURE THING.
Ah I don’t know. I mean I should be all happy for the girl, she’s building an empire of her name, but my question is…who will be reading this?? Little teeny-boppers?
She’s got Betty Davis Eyes…
September 13, 2008
This proves that Leighton Meester is my favorite person of all time.
Okay, maybe on Television, no but seriously..,OF ALL TIME.
First, look at her at the Zac Posen show in NYC. A place where I wished I could be, but seeing as how I lacked the popularity or a ticket of some sort…the closest I got to Fashion Week was by looking at pictures.
ANYWAYS, Leighton looked amazing and her dress was gor-ge-ous :D Fashion Icon much??
Speaking of Leighton Meester, my BFF posted a SONG by Leighton on her blog. I didn’t know the girl could sing!! At first I was skeptical, but after I listened to it….it wasn’t that bad! She has a different voice, I don’t know how to explain it, but I really like it. Go check out my friend’s site to listen to the song. It’s really good, I can already sing-a-long.
The song is called “Bette Davis Eyes.”
I also found this clip from REGIS AND KELLY and Leighton was the guest. Check it out. She talks about her re-occurring role on ENTOURAGE. Which airs this Sunday night and I’m really excited to see her!!!
AND here is her first appearance on Entourage as the “virgin popstar.”
I’ll fill you in on her appearance on the next Entourage….
Sophisticlassy…
September 13, 2008
Okay,
So I know I talked about Katie Holmes in a previous post, but I just ran into another picture of her and can I just that LOVE HER OUTFIT.
Like OMG. I hate to love the women!!! I mean, who knows if her stylist picks out her clothes, but seriously, the women has style and fashion-sense. You cannot deny it. She is officially my fashion icon, I can’t help it. The women is the definition of SOPHISTICLASSY!!!!!
AND I have always been against the whole leather-tights look, but after seeing her sport them, they are not that bad. I might…might…go out and buy a pair. OMG, I’m getting fashion brainwashed by her, and I’m not afraid to admit it.
She may be married to Tom Cruise, who is now depicted as a crazy man, but Katie has raised the bar on fashion and style, and the media deeming her as the new Jackie O…well they’re not too far off.
To the girl who has everything…
September 13, 2008
Can I just say, that I wish I was Blake Lively!?!?!
I mean seriously, the girl has everything. A hot TV show, a gor-ge-ous boyfriend, amazing clothes, Leighton Meester as a friend, I MEAN!!!!!!
So to top it off, she had an amazing 21st birthday party with the best looking cake. It puts mine to shame.
But, seriously, you gotta love the girl. So Happy Birthday Blake, you’re fabulous/sophisticlassy and epic.
Taylor Swift’s Love Story…
September 13, 2008
So I’m a country music fan.., but once I listened to Taylor Swift’s new song Love Story, I’m a fan now.
Her music video follows a Pride&Prejudice storyline and Taylor’s dress is so GOR-GE-OUS! or shall I say SOPHISTICLASSY!!!
Its a really cute song, and I love the lyrics.
Romeo take me somewhere we can be alone
I’ll be waiting all there’s left to do is run
You’ll be the prince and I’ll be the princess
It’s a love story, baby, just say yesRomeo save me, they try to tell me how to feel
This love is difficult, but it’s real
Don’t be afraid
We’ll make it out of this mess
It’s a love story, baby, just say yes
I’ve started listening to some of her other songs, and they are so good! I don’t know why I never listened to them before!! And what I love most about them is that you can easily relate to her lyrics.
Here is the music video.
P.S. The last bit resembles the last part of Pride & Prejudice. AHH MR. DARCY!!
